Admission

The Coral Springs Charter School (CSCS) admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin, religion or gender. It is the intention of the school to reflect the community it serves and be open to any student residing in Broward County. Enrollment preference is given to siblings of currently enrolled students and children of Charter Schools USA employees. Because the School Board of Broward County recognizes CSCS as a “Charter School-in-a-Municipality” pursuant to Section 1002.33, Florida Statutes, Coral Springs residents will receive preference in our lottery if they apply during open enrollment.

Application Process

The Open Enrollment period each year is February 15 - March 15. Applications are accepted in all grade levels.

Note: If the number of applications exceeds the number of available spaces for any grade level, a system generated, random lottery will be held to determine who is admitted.

After March 15th, applications will continue to be accepted and admission will be offered on a first-come first-served basis. If a lottery is required and your application was not submitted within the Open Enrollment window, your application will be positioned on the waitlist in the order in which it is received.

Families will be notified within 14 days of the close of the Open Enrollment period if their student has been accepted or if a lottery will be held. Families who are sent an acceptance letter will be given a specific time frame to respond. If the school does not receive a response during the time frame outlined, the applicant will be removed from the accepted list and placed on the waitlist.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER WE HAVE ON FILE IS CURRENT.

Notification will be given immediately if an opening becomes available from the waitlist. If you are not selected from the waitlist by January, you will need to reapply between February 15th and March 15th for the next school year. We're sorry, but we do not carry over waitlists.

ONLINE APPLICANTS NEED ONLY TO PRINT THE CONFIRMATION PAGE GIVEN AT THE END OF THE APPLICATION SUBMISSION, AND KEEP IT FOR THEIR PERSONAL RECORDS.

Please do not submit duplicate applications. All duplicate applications will be deleted. In order for us to update address information to a Coral Springs address you must come to the school and provide a copy of a current utility bill reflecting your name and address. Phone numbers only may be updated by calling the school. Thank you for your cooperation.

If not applying online, it is suggested that you send the application Certified U.S. Mail, Return Receipt Requested to: Registrar, Coral Springs Charter School, 3205 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL, 33065. The return receipt is your notice that the application has been received.
